Guitarist Joe Perry of Aerosmith reported to Las Vegas Sun that Steven Tyler has left the band, ya know "as for as he can tell." Perry is planning on having Tyler replaced and continuing with the band. Like that's gonna work. Well, actually with the successs of old bands with new singers, such as Journey or even INXS, it will work...but it will never be the same thing. The band will be tainted after all these years. Tyler will be a quiter as far as I can tell.
The band members have allegedly been having problems the past few months with incidents such as Tyler falling offstage in Dakota and having to be airlifted out making the band cancel the entire US tour.
The thing that I don't get is that Aerosmith is legendary. They had a successful career for not one, but three decades and still managed to stay relevant for another ten years! Some bands can't make it a year let alone 40 years. And yet after all the inspiring Behind the Music drama, singer Tyler decided to call it quits after falling off a stage? Really?
